Lesson 018 Preface to the Constellation Taurus

Preface to the Constellation Taurus
The Powerful Authority of Love
(Matthew 12:22-30, Mark 3:22-27 and Luke 11:14-23)
The kingdom parable about the “Strong Man” (Matthew 12:29) in the gospel of Matthew will lay a foundation for the study of the constellation Taurus.
The constellations of Cancer and Gemini revealed that the shepherd kingdom of God on earth is no “earthly” kingdom; the authority of the kingdom is the royal law of Love.  Love is the foundation of this kingdom and love manages this kingdom.
The natural man rarely considers love a force that requires reckoning.  Love is not thought of as a force or power.  In the imagination of the heart, love is a sentimental and emotional feeling and sometimes is considered a weakness.  In the imagination of the heart, it is thought that one cannot rule a kingdom without power − without force.
1Corinthians 13:13 (ESV) “So now faith, hope and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”  The eternal covenant written in the luminaries is a covenant of love.  Each of the twelve stellar signs with their three decans declares the glory of God.  Each speaks of the Kingdom of the Son of God’s love.
In Libra God reveals His love in the transaction that takes place at “the meeting place,” the propitiation.  Libra reveals the covenant He made with Himself for a universal kingdom of sons of God as accomplished.
In Virgo God reveals His love by willingly becoming the Seed of the woman to die in the stead of His creation and be resurrected that He might become life everlasting to those who will believe.
In Leo God reveals His love in the rending lion “treading underfoot,” which is the just recompense for those who refuse His love.
In Cancer God reveals His love in the manger and the sheepfold; He is the great Shepherd, the “One Who Holds or Shelters.”
In Gemini God reveals His love in the uniting of the two realms into a universal kingdom of sons of God in the Jerusalem below and the New Jerusalem above.
Taurus is the sixth sign from Libra.  In the numerology of scripture, six is the number associated with man because it is the day of his creation.  In Taurus God takes captivity captive – God’s will will be done on earth as it is in heaven − the coming ruler rejoicing the heart.  Thus in the sign Taurus God reveals the powerful authority of His love revealed in the Son of Man, the covenant Son.
Within the four signs of Taurus, the constellation and the three decans, four facets of the power of love are presented.  Each is a glorious testimony to the power of love.  In the stellar sign Taurus, who is the bull in the star chart drawing, is the “Judge” of love, the authority, “The One Who Saves Mightily.”  The first decan “Orion” is the “Strong One” of Love, the muscle, “The Branch.”  The second decan shows the influence of love, the life giver of love, the Word of God as The River of the Judge or Ruler.  Finally, the third decan is “The Conductor of The Reins” of love, the Shepherd, the Sovereignty of love.
The parable is recorded in three of the four gospels; therefore, a broad overview of the four gospels will be considered first.
The four gospels, like the four facets of Taurus, have much in common.  The four gospels deal with the same period of history; each sets forth the teaching and miracles of Jesus and each describes His death and resurrection.  Each gospel has a peculiar theme and subject.  However, individually none of them gives a complete biography of Jesus’ earthly ministry.
The four gospels set Christ before us in four distinct offices, from four different angles, in four different relationships; and each displays Him discharging the responsibilities of each office perfectly.  What is truly amazing is the wisdom of God displayed in the selection of the four men whom He chose to write the gospels.  As an instrument of God, each one had a peculiar and parallel suitability for his message.
Matthew’s gospel presents Jesus as the Son of David, the King of the Jews, and his narrative centers around Christ’s royal genealogy.  Matthew is the only one of the four writers that presents Christ in an official relationship, namely as King of Israel.  Matthew is the only one of the four who filled an official position.  He was a publican – a tax collector (Matthew 10:3) hired by the Romans to collect the Jewish taxes.  How fitting that Matthew, who was an officer of and accustomed to looking over a vast empire, should be the one selected for the task of the kingdom gospel.  Jews hated the tax collectors, who were hired by the Romans.
Thus, Matthew, as the instrument chosen of God, could write of the one who was “hated without cause” (John 15:25) and set forth Jesus as “despised and rejected” (Isaiah 53:3) by His own nation.
Mark’s gospel depicts Jesus as the Servant of Jehovah; the One who though equal with God made Himself of no reputation and “took upon Him the form of a servant” (Philippians 2:7).  This explains why there is no genealogy recorded in Mark; servants have no need of genealogy.  Mark, as the servant of the apostles (2 Timothy 4:11), was well-fitted to serve others in his task as the author of the servant’s gospel.
Luke’s gospel displays Jesus in His humanity and presents Him as the Son of man, related to but contrasted from sons of men.  Luke’s gospel also reveals the depravity of humanity more fully than the other gospels.  Luke was a physician (Colossians 4:14) and as such a student of the human frame.  Moreover, there is good reason to believe that Luke was not a Jew but a Gentile; therefore, it is curiously appropriate that he should present Jesus not as “the Son of David” but as “the Son of Man.”
John’s gospel presents Jesus as heavenly – higher than humanity, setting Him forth as divine, showing that He was the Son of God.  John was “the disciple whom Jesus loved” (John 21:7, 20).  Not to say that Jesus did not love all the disciples, but rather John was willing to be loved.  How relevant that the one that leaned on the bosom of Jesus should be the instrument chosen to portray Him as “… the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father…” (John 1:18)!
The overview of the four gospels figuratively speaks of the four corners of the earth.  There are four points to the earth’s compass.  There are four seasons to the earth’s year.  The scripture describes earth’s inhabitants as “kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation” (Revelation 5:9).  Therefore, the number four is the world number.  How appropriate that the Holy Spirit should give us four gospels in which to set forth the earthly ministry of the heavenly one, the covenant Son.
In Matthew 12:22-30, Jesus, after healing the blind and dumb man, speaks in parables to all gathered but primarily to the Pharisees and scribes.  Mark’s gospel reveals that Jesus healed the blind and dumb man, and He used the healing to teach them in parables.  A parable is a figure of a literal reality.
God gives figurative pictures portraying literal truths and He gives literal pictures in a figurative manner.  Both ways convey truth.  God links the message of the figure of the true to the recipient of the message.  Three revelations of Jesus are within the parable, each one a personal and individual “announcement” to the audience of the parable.  Jesus first reveals himself to the blind and dumb man.
Having healed the blind and dumb man, Jesus uses the literal picture of the man’s condition as a figure of the true, the spiritual reality that the leaders to whom He is speaking are like the blind and dumb man.  The ways of God’s works are unchangeable; the order is always the same.  First God reveals Himself and His plans; the test of obedience to believe the revelation follows.
Matthew 12:22, 23:  “Then was brought unto Him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb:  and He healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.  And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?”
Because of the demon possession, the man is totally in the dark.  He cannot see and he cannot hear.  The reality of life is shut out to him.  When Jesus healed the man, all the people were amazed, not the Pharisees, but the people.  Why is their question “is not this the son of David?”  Who is David, but the king of Israel?  Why would the healing bring this question to mind?  The people are acknowledging that Jesus is the king and heir to the kingdom.  They have eyes to see and ears to hear.
Secondly, God reveals Himself to the crowd of people.  He shows Himself personally and individually to the heart of each person in the audience.  God is intimate and personal to the living souls that witness the interaction.  God reveals Himself and His plans.  He is the king and heir.  His is a kingdom of righteousness and love.  The test of obedience for the people is will they obey and believe the truth before them or continue to be led by the blind and dumb leaders.
Matthew 12:24:  “But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, this fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Be-el-ze-bub the prince of the devils.”
What is the Pharisees’ response?  They are not amazed; they are accusatory with a nonsensical accusation.  Who are the Pharisees and why do they bring up Be-el-ze-bub, or the more proper name Be-el-ze-bul, the prince of devils?  The Pharisees were the so-called self-appointed leaders of the nation.  They were the separatists of their day.  The Pharisees considered themselves much holier than the common people and wore special garments to distinguish themselves from others.  The Pharisees taught the traditions of the elders were derived from the same fountain as the written Word, claiming both to have been delivered to Moses on Mount Sinai.
In the imagination of their heart, these so-called leaders desired the kingdom for themselves.  They were false shepherds, wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Be-el-ze-bub, the prince of devils, has the Old Testament meaning “lord of flies”; however, the name properly should be Be-el-ze-bul.  Be-el-ze-bul is a title meaning “Lord of the House.”
Matthew 12:25:  “And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.”
Verse 25 shows the third audience to whom He reveals Himself.  The phrase “Jesus knew their thoughts” is important in understanding the discussion between the Pharisees and Jesus.  Jesus and the Pharisees are having a conversation within a conversation, spoken and unspoken.
Jesus, knowing the issue of the heart, knew the source of their thinking.  The Pharisees thinking is sourced in the evil one, “the Lord of the House,” the prince of devils; they are totally in the dark to reality.  They are blind to the truth because they refuse to see and dumb because they refuse to hear.  They refuse to lay down the pride of self-will and think.  Thinking they know and thinking they have a right to think independently – to think the way they want to – shows their lawlessness.
In their nonsensical accusation of the healing of the demon-possessed man is their answer to the test of their obedience to believe the truth.  What is at issue for the Pharisees is not who is Lord of the House but to whom does the kingdom belong?  Which kingdom, city and house are spoken of between the two in their unspoken conversation?  It is the kingdom of Israel, the city of Jerusalem and the house of David.
Who has the authority?  At that time in the nation’s history, the Pharisees are the ruling authority; they have a system of politics, economics and religion; they are not willing to give up the power of their kingdom.  That is why the Pharisees attempt to discredit Jesus and that is why the phrase “Jesus knew their thoughts” is important.  The Pharisees want the kingdom for themselves and that is why the accusation of who is the authority in the kingdom is the crux of the question.
In His response to the accusation of the blind and dumb Pharisees, Jesus reveals their thinking to have the kingdom and the result of such thinking; ultimately, they are going to scatter the kingdom.  (He goes straight to the heart of the matter − the pride of self-will.)
Matthew 12:25-28:  “…Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:  And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?  And if I by Be-el-ze-bul cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out?  therefore they shall be your judges.  But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.”
Whatever is divided is brought to desolation, whether it is a kingdom, city or house.  If Satan cast out Satan, he is dividing himself and his kingdom shall not stand.  Satan does not have a kingdom, because he does not have dominion.  God gave dominion to man.  The Pharisees’ nonsensical accusation of Jesus is proven to be just that – nonsense.  There is no sense – no rationale to their way of thinking.
In the pride of self-will, there is no sense.  The thinking is sensual and sourced in the lusts of deceits; it is foolishness and lunacy.  The enmity of the pride of self-will, God’s greatest enemy − man’s own thinking cannot be subdued, tamed or conquered; it must be put to death.
Jesus warns the Pharisees to not be unwilling to be “domesticated” by the love of the Sovereign but receive the life everlasting offered in the covenant Son.  If you refuse, you will be brought to desolation.  Change your mind and turn to God.  The battle is for the mind − man’s own pride of self-will, thinking he has a right to think independently − the way he wants to – lawlessness.
The question is if by the power of Be-el-ze-bul Jesus cast out devils, by whom do the Pharisees’ children cast them out?  Who are the children or sons of the Pharisees and who is the source of their power to cast out devils and why shall the children be the judges of the Pharisees?  The children of the Pharisees were not literally children born to them but those willing to be mentored by them − those willing to be taught and trained in the Pharisees’ ways of thinking.
During Jesus earthly ministry, many were casting out demons (Luke 9 and 10).  There is a difference between casting out in the power of Jesus name and claiming the power of Jesus name.  Jesus calls the bluff of the Pharisees to discredit His authority; both know the source of the children’s power to cast out devils.
The Pharisees’ children are not followers of Jesus.  The strategy is the subtle scheme of Be-el-ze-bul to divide Jesus’ kingdom by having the children of the Pharisees cast out demons in Jesus name.  It appears that all is the same, but the reality is the Pharisees and their followers are the counterfeit of the “true.”
If by the Spirit of God, Jesus cast out devils is that not proof that the kingdom of God is come upon them.  What more could “Love” say?  I Am, that I Am (He); the works that I do are done according to the Spirit of God.  I Am, that I Am (He), Heir of the Kingdom.  I Am the King of the Kingdom.  I have the authority, I Am that I Am, I Am the authority.
In His warning to the Pharisees in verse twenty-nine, Jesus gives a prophetic revelation of that which is soon to happen not only to Him but for the Pharisees as well.
Matthew 12:29:  “Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man?  And then he will spoil his house.”
Who is the Strong Man?  He is not the evil one.  The Strong Man is revealed in the star names “The Branch,” God come in the flesh, “The One Who Saves Mightily,” “The Judge” or “Ruler, The Conductor of The Reins” of Love.  In the presence of the counterfeit is the Presence − a force greater than any to be reckoned with − Love!
What does it mean to spoil the goods and then spoil his house?  Can Love be bound?  Absolutely not!  What Jesus is saying to the Pharisees is that which is about to take place.  That is the “taking” of His goods and the spoiling of His house is impossible without the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God.
Jesus would soon say “As the Father knoweth Me, even so know I the Father:  and I lay down My Life for the sheep.  And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold:  them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.  Therefore doth My Father love Me, because I lay down My Life, that I might take it again.  No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of myself.  I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.  This commandment have I received of My Father” (John 10:15-18).
The sheep are at stake in terms of the kingdom, the lost sheep of the house of Israel and other sheep not of that fold, the sheep that will be separated from the goats at the establishment of the kingdom (the nations who will be invited into the kingdom).  The way to “find” the sheep and to gather them into the fold is not by the force of a religious, economic and political system but by Love.  Love is not a sentimental and emotional feeling but the person of God in Christ.
Wicked hands would crucify and slay the “Strong Man,” the covenant Son; but it would not occur without divine consent.  Can Love be bound?  Absolutely not!  Death cannot hold onto Love.  Love is a force greater than death.  Love is the greatest!  Who could foretell a future event except a true Prophet of God?
Finally what does Jesus mean in Matthew 12:30:  “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.”
The blind and dumb Pharisees were not with Jesus but against him; they were not gathering sons for the kingdom of God but scattering the seed abroad.  Thinking to obtain the kingdom for themselves through putting to death the covenant Son, the kingdom was scattered.
The pride of self-will must be put to death.  It cannot be subdued or tamed; it must be conquered.  To be with Jesus, one must come God’s way.  His way is life everlasting, His way is Love; Love is what conquers the pride of self-will.   The pride of self-will is put to death through the life provided in the covenant Son; Love rules over the pride of self-will.  Unless a man is born again, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
Love is mightily seen in the stellar sign of Taurus.  Love is the force that requires reckoning.  “The One Who Saves Mightily,” the covenant Son, “The Branch,” the Seed of the woman, The River of the Judge or Ruler, the word of God, “The Conductor of The Reins” of Love, the Shepherd King Priest will rule the kingdom with a rod of iron, the Sovereignty of His love.
“So now faith, hope and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”  (1Corinthians 13:13 ESV).  Love is greatest because God who is Spirit in being took a body of flesh in order to die and be raised a Son of God that He might have a kingdom of sons – sons of His Love.

Lesson 017 Gemini

Gemini

Betrothed Beloved – The Statutes of the LORD are Right
(Isaiah 52-54; Revelation 20:1-3, 10)

The picture in Cancer was that the times of the Gentiles have been fulfilled.  The Sovereign has come and gathered His people Israel to himself; the goats and the sheep (the nations) are separated, and the thousand-year reign has begun.  This is a new beginning; former things have passed away.
The next three signs, Gemini, Taurus and Aries, are a trilogy within the twelve constellations.  Each sign expresses a different aspect of the kingdom reign, and together they give a complete picture.  During the thousand-year kingdom reign, the proving of the heart − the problem of the pride of the self-will occurs; the pride of self-will is antagonistic to the will of God concerning the covenant Son.  Will man repent – one must be born again to enter the kingdom of God (John 3:3).  At the heart of the issue is the issue of the heart − the pride of self-will where the imagination of the thoughts and intents of the heart is only evil continually (Genesis 6:5).
In the new kingdom, all are separated unto God; it will be as it was in the Garden Eden; only the Word of God will be taught.  False teaching will not exist.  Each man will be tested according to his own lawlessness.  Will each man receive the life everlasting offered?
God tested Adam and as a creation, mankind proved to be lawless, all are gone aside (to their own way), all are become filthy; none do good, no not one (Psalm 14:1-3).  …There is none righteous, no not one:  there is none that understands; there is none that seeks after God.  They are all gone out of the way (the way of life everlasting); they are together become unprofitable… (Romans 3:9-12).
In the kingdom age (the thousand-year reign), the testing of the lawlessness of mankind to go his own way no longer applies; man has gone his own way.  That test is part of the former things.  The test will be will men repent from their own way – will man change his mind and turn to God?
Man comes into the world with no understanding of the things of God.  He will have a thousand years to learn.  The battle is and will be for the mind − man’s own pride of self-will, thinking he has a right to think independently - the way he wants to – lawlessness.
The prophets of God will be preaching and the Holy Spirit will be bearing witness to the truth taught.  One must be born again.  The test is individual.  Will man obey the truth and receive the gift of life everlasting offered in the covenant Son?
In time, the prophetic events foretold in Gemini, Taurus and Aries take place concurrently.  In the sign Gemini, the coronation or the crowning of the betrothed monarchy of Israel takes place.  Taurus portrays the coming Ruler as the righteous Judge who rejoices the heart of His people as He rules His kingdom in righteousness and justice.  Aries depicts the gentle, merciful King Priest who in His ministry as High Priest teaches the ceremonial law and offerings showing that the commandment of the LORD is pure.
Gemini “supposedly” refers to the famous “twins” after whom the two bright stars are named (Castor and Pollux).  Bible students will remember that in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 28:11) the name of a ship that Paul travelled on is Castor and Pollux.
The meaning of Gemini, like the stellar signs Leo and Cancer, is more obscure than the meaning of some of the other signs.  This obscurity may be because the signs are connected to the prophetic revelation of the nation of Israel.
In the sign of Gemini, the time of rejoicing arrives showing the statutes of the LORD are right; the coronation of the betrothed nation Israel to her beloved Bridegroom takes place.  The people of God “marry” their Betrothed with the sons of Israel marrying (inheriting) their land, signifying to the inhabitants of the earth that the “statutes of the LORD are right” (Psalm 19:8); it is a time of great celebration.
The eternal covenant involves two realms – an earthly and a heavenly.  Two cites from two realms form one universal kingdom of sons of God.  The city in heaven is the New Jerusalem – its inhabitants are the bride-wife of the Lamb.  The city on earth is Jerusalem below – its inhabitants are the remnant of the sons of Israel, the “woman forsaken” (Isaiah 54:5-6).
In the typology of the scripture, Jesus is a bridegroom to His people Israel in a figurative sense because it pertains to the inheritance of land for the nation.  Jesus is a husband to His bride-wife the Church.  The titles of bridegroom and husband unite the two realms and declare one universal kingdom of sons of God.
Jerusalem is the key to understanding the difference between a bridegroom and a husband.  God has a city in Jerusalem, the city of Zion acquired through the redemptive work of His Son, (Psalm 48:2).  The Son also has a city – the New Jerusalem in the heavenlies (Revelation 21:10).
The names of the Stellar sign Gemini are “The United,” “Joined Together,” “The Pair, The Completely Joined” and “The Station” or “Place of the Coming.”  These stellar names confirm the union of the two realms as one universal Kingdom.  The Jerusalem above will be the marriage canopy for the Jerusalem below uniting the two realms of sons of God (Revelation 21).  In traditional Jewish weddings, the “chuppah” is the marriage canopy covering the bridegroom and bride.
The word “chuppah” is from the primitive root word “chaphah” that means “to cover; by implication, to veil, to encase, protect; − ceil, cover, overlay.”  The word chuppah is used in Psalm 19:5 …As a bridegroom goes forth from His chuppah and in Joel 2:16 …Let the bridegroom go forth from his chamber, and the bride out of her chuppah.
Customarily the chuppah is erected outdoors – under the stars symbolizing traditional Jewish thinking for the hope of the blessing of a large family in conformity with the rabbinic teaching of Genesis 22:17 “In blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven.”
The use of the chuppah demonstrates the decisive act that formally designates to the Bridegroom and Bride the new status of “married.”  The chuppah marks the conclusion of the betrothal.
In Revelation 19, the “wife,” who has made herself ready for the Lamb’s supper, is the nation Israel who is about to be married to her land by the bridegroom – her Sovereign King – the Lamb.  Thus the marriage of the Lamb takes place with the holy city, the New Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband (Revelation 21:2).
The star names identified with the stellar sign confirm that the union is the accomplishment of the Son of the covenant, the Bridegroom of His people Israel.  The star names are “Ruler” or “Judge,” “Coming in Haste,” “The Hurt” or “Afflicted,” “Treading Underfoot,” “Established,” “As a Foundation,” or “Set,” “The Branch Spreading,” “The Seed” or “Branch,” and “The Palm Branch.”
“The LORD therefore hath performed His word that He hath spoken:  for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD God of Israel” (2Chronicles 6:10).  Jesus is the Sovereign of Israel, who inherits the kingdom through the line of David the King.
In some of the star chart drawings, two figures sit on a throne, the symbol of authority and the position of rest.  Each figure is holding a symbol of war in a relaxed position of peace.  The right figure holds an unstrung bow, and the left figure holds a club.  Centered between the laps is a harp. The harp was one of the main musical instruments used in the Old Testament along with the psaltery, which is a stringed instrument played like a dulcimer, and cymbals.
The luminaries are a heavenly pictorial of an earthly kingdom, therefore, the “throne” depicted in the star chart drawing is the earthly throne of Jerusalem, the foundation or headquarters for the realm of Jehovah God’s authority on earth.  This kingdom on earth belongs to the Father of the covenant Son, Jehovah.  Israel, as the head nation, is the woman of Genesis 3:15, the wife of Jehovah who brought forth the Seed.
Psalm 137 is a very poetic song whose theme is the “hanging up” of the harps of Israel, sounds of joy are not heard.  They have been taken captive.  Captive in Babylon they sat by the river and wept when they remembered Zion, and they hung their harps in the willow trees.  Willow trees are “mournful” in their appearance, and are called “weeping” willows.  Those who took Israel captive and laid them waste required a song of them, taunting them - now rejoice in your LORD, “…Sing us one of the songs of Zion” (Psalm 137:3).
After the sorrow of grief of the tribulation is singing!  Israel is to break forth into singing!  She is no longer forsaken; she is no longer barren (no sons of God).  As a regenerate nation, Israel has become the Virgin she is prophesied to be (in the sign Virgo).
The two figures on the throne emphatically declare that never again will the earth experience war and never again will Israel be taken captive.  She has fulfilled the purpose of her creation – children, sons of God for her Maker, her Husband; the LORD of hosts is His name; her Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; the God of the whole earth shall He be called (Isaiah 54:5).  Together, Jehovah God and His wife are set or appointed to rule in equality.
The brightest star in the stellar constellation means “Ruler” or “Judge.”  The second brightest star also is identified with the same names, “Ruler” or “Judge.”  The repeat of the star names in the same constellation gives the testimony or witness of two who are to rule – judge, a co-partnering of authority.
The star located in the “middle” (the heart or core of the sign) means “Established,” “As a Foundation,” or “Set,” “Joined Together” and “United.”
The name of the first decan in Gemini is “Lepus,” “The Hare,” “The Enemy of Him That Cometh” and “Treading Underfoot.”
In the star chart drawing, “Lepus” is drawn as a hare.  The Latin name means “The Hare Treading Underfoot.”  The hare, attempting to escape, is restrained under the foot of “Orion,” “The Branch,” “The Mighty,” “The Prince,” the first decan in the next constellation Taurus.
The serpent in the luminaires, the symbol of the pride of self-will, is drawn in the star charts as a hare and is called a hare.  Why?  The star names identified in the first decan “The Mad,” “The Deceiver,” “The Caught” and “The Bound” reveal the reason why the “pictorial” changes from a serpent to a hare.
The serpent in the luminaires is the symbol of the pride of self-will, and the hare symbolizes the lusts of deceits of the pride of the self–will (Ephesians 4:22).  There are lusts of the pride of self-will and there are the deceits of the pride of self-will.  A twofold picture is seen in the symbolism of the lusts of the deceits of the pride of self-will.
The picture in the first two star names, “The Mad” and “The Deceiver,” is the symbolism of the lusts of the deceits of the pride of self-will.  The picture in the last two star names, “The Caught” and “The Bound” reveals the end – the results of the lusts and deceits of the pride of self-will not only for Satan but also for all who refuse to repent and change their mind.
“The Enemy of Him That Cometh” is not the serpent – Lucifer, but it is the enmity of the pride of self-will.  God’s greatest enemy is man’s own thinking.  God gave man freedom of choice to obey the truth and He cannot override it.  The problem is man thinks he has a right to think independently − the way he wants to – that is lawlessness.
A hare is not the same as a rabbit.  The hare belongs to the species Lepus.  The hare is wild and cannot be subdued, tamed, or conquered.  The speed of a hare can be as fast as 45 mph.  Also, the hare lives solitarily and independently.  Thus, the hare in the star chart drawing is a perfect picture of the deceitfulness associated with the symbol of the serpent – the symbol of the pride of the self-will.
The hare represents the unwillingness to be “domesticated” by the love of His sovereign.  Man in the pride of his self-will is unreasonable in his pursuit to be right.  The multiple lusts of deceits of the pride of the self-will are crazy – mad.  It is foolishness and lunacy for man to reject the gift of life everlasting offered in the covenant Son because he is unwilling to lay down the pride of self-will.
“Caught” and “bound” in the lusts of deceits, the pride of self-will has no escape without the power of the Strong Man − “The Branch,” “The Mighty,” and “The Prince.”
In the star chart drawing, “The Enemy of Him That Cometh,” “The Mad,” The Deceiver,” duped by the deceitfulness and pride of self-will, is “Tread Underfoot,” restrained under the foot of “Orion.”  “The Mad,” The Deceiver,” Satan, is “The Caught” and “The Bound.”
The serpent will no longer build his city of mystery Babylon.  “The Deceiver” is not permitted to deceive but is bound a thousand years and cast into the bottomless pit and shut up, and a seal set upon[him], that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled:  and after that he must be loosed a little season (Revelation 20:2-3).
Although mystery Babylon has imploded on itself in the sign Leo, Satan’s desire for world dominion through a city-system is present in his thinking.  Although the deception of the evil one will NOT be permitted and no false worship will be tolerated, “The Enemy of Him That Cometh,” the enmity of the pride of self-will, will be in the heart; however, no outward rebellion will be permitted.  “The Enemy of Him That Cometh,” “The Mad,” The Deceiver,” of the pride of self-will will be tread underfoot − “Caught” and “Bound” by the “Strong Man,” “Orion,” the first decan in the next constellation Taurus.
At the end of the thousand years, a reckoning will be required.  Those alive during the thousand years and those born during the thousand-year reign must decide whether they will unite to their Lord Jesus.  At the end of the thousand years, God will release the serpent from his prison to expose the heart of humanity.  God’s purpose in loosening the serpent provides humanity an alternative way to think and thereby proves the lawlessness of the heart.  Thus, at the end of the thousand years, when Satan is loosed for a season, the proving of the lawlessness of the heart of humanity will be exposed.  The judgment signs of Sagittarius and Scorpio tell more revelation about this lawlessness and the coming judgment.
The sign and star names of the second and third decans of Gemini,Canis Major” and “Canis Minor,” show that the Sovereign is no ordinary sovereign for He is no ordinary man.  He is other than the creation He serves as monarch.  He is the potentate, the preeminent.
“Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  for by Him were all things created, that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or principalities or powers:  all things were created by Him, and for Him:  and He is before all things….” (Colossians 1:15-17).
The sign and star names pay homage to Jehovah God because His plan for sons of God is acknowledged as accomplished through the covenant Son.  The name of the second decan is “Canis Major.”  Other names are “The Greater Dog,” “The Wolf” or “The Dog,” “The Prince,” “The Prince of the Right Hand,” “The Mighty” and “Sire” or “Sir.”  Star names identified with the second decan are “Coming Swiftly Down,” “The Sent Prince,” “The Mighty,” “Ruler,” “The Glorious,” “The Bright,” “Shining” and “Scarlet.”
Names of the sign “Canis Minor” are “The Lesser Dog” or “Wolf” and “The Savior Redeemer.”  Star names identified with the third decan are “Burdened” or “Bearing For Others” and “Prince of the Left Hand.”
Several of the signs and star names in particular draw the reader back to the first coming of the birthed Son of God in the sign of Virgo,The Sent Prince,” “Prince of the Left Hand,” “Prince of the Right Hand,” “Branch” and the sign name of the “Wolf” reminds the reader of the constellation Libra
“The Sent Prince” reminds the reader from whence the Prince has come – Heaven, the throne of God.   He is “Prince of the Left Hand” the Seed of the woman [the] “Branch” and He is Prince of the Right Hand” of Jehovah.
Finally, the sign name “Wolf” pictures the One who will take those wicked hands, the false prophets who “appear” as shepherds but are ravening wolves only dressed in sheep’s clothing, and put them to death during the kingdom reign.
In the second decan of the stellar sign Libra, the “Wolf” is most commonly known by its Latin name “Lupus” or “Victima,” “the Victim” orthe Slain.”  The contemporary Greek name is “Wolf” or “the Beast,” implying an enemy.  The Hebrew name means “To Be Slain and in ancient times referred to “Sura,” a sheep or lamb.  Thus, the star names in Libra give a detailed message of that which is slain:  a victim − a Lamb, and an enemy − the wolf or beast.
The wicked hands that put to death the Lamb of God belong to the false prophets (the chief priests), which “appeared” as shepherds dressed in sheep’s clothing; inwardly, they are ravening wolves – beasts, enemies of God (Matthew 7:15; John 10:7-13).  While God permitted these wicked hands to put to death the Lamb of God, it must be understood that the Lamb of God willingly took upon Himself the sting of death – no man took His life from Him; Jesus laid it down voluntarily (John 10:18).
At His second coming when the kingdom is first established, those false prophets, the seed of the evil one who led Israel away, will be put to death.  Again at the end of the age when the kingdom is delivered to the Father, the wolves - those false prophets who will meet in secret during the thousand years to take Jerusalem − will be judged guilty and sentenced to death.
Ezekiel and Jeremiah, Old Testament prophets of Jehovah, prophesied the judgment and demise of those false prophets who served the roaring lion ravening the prey.
The warning, with a promise, in Jeremiah 23:1-3 reads, “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.  Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them:  behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.  And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.”
These false prophets will be dealt the deathblow at the establishment of the kingdom.
Jeremiah 23:4 says “And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them:  and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.”
Ezekiel’s prophecy will be accomplished at the end of the thousand years.
“Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath:  their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God” (Ezekiel 22:31).
In Gemini, the betrothed nation has married the bridegroom and her land.  She is no longer forsaken or barren.  She celebrates her coronation – the partnering of authority on earth – the crux of this sign.  The two figures in Gemini sit on a throne holding symbols of war in a relaxed position of peace.  These symbols declare that the earth will never again experience war and Israel will never again be taken captive.
The warning in Lepus shows she longs for all to say “yes” to her Sovereign and she rules with Him accordingly.
Thus the potentate, the Beloved Bridegroom is not only “The Sent Prince,” “The Mighty,” “Ruler,” “The Savior Redeemer, He is also the King Priest of His Kingdom of Priests.

Lesson 016 Cancer

Cancer
The One Who Holds or Shelters – Making Wise the Simple
(Genesis 12-22:19 and Hebrews 11:8-19)
In the previous constellation of Leo, the testimony of the LORD is sure!  The kingdom of this earth has become of our Lord and His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever (Revelation 11:15).  Although the eternal covenant takes ages to occur in time, the kingdom promised the fathers of the nation Israel is a reality.  Victory belongs to the King, the adversary is conquered.
The 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel called and sealed (Revelation 7) will be the “disciples” of Jesus during the seven years of tribulation – His preachers of righteousness, who at His coming to earth will stand with the Lamb on Mt. Zion (Revelation 14).
The outward rebellion of enmity against the King has been destroyed; the enmity first declared in Genesis 3 was between the descendants of men who live in the pride of self-will and the Seed of the woman − the collective righteous seed and the singular male member, the coming covenant Son.
The one who opposed and exalted himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped - the one sitting in the temple of God declaring himself to be God will be cast alive with his false prophet into the lake of fire burning with brimstone as seen in the constellation Aries.  The serpent will be cast into the pit for the thousand years.  The inhabitants of the new world order of the new kingdom of Babylon, who drank of the cup of intoxicating wine and served in the world and helped to build the city, have been made to drink the wine of God’s anger.
The seducer of the nations, the harlot, the organized world system of politics, economics and religion built by men who live in the flesh, whose desire is their appetite for things, has been destroyed!  The virtual city of the pride of life is no more; the city is never to be seen again.  Hydra, a decan in the constellation Leo is the city Babylon that rises from out of the sea of humanity,The Abhorred” - “The Heart of the Serpent” has been “The Put Out of the Way,” the “Enemy [has been] Put Down.”
Cancer follows Leo in the rotation of the stellar signs.  Cancer’s theme is the establishment of a new kingdom.  At the end of the seven years, Jesus returns to set up His kingdom.  He will have preserved a remnant of His people Israel from total obliteration.  Two–thirds of the nation will have perished in the tribulation of desolation.  The yoke of oppression placed on the neck of Israel by the man of sin, the son of perdition, will be broken; and Israel’s bonds of oppression will burst.  Jehovah will be the remnant’s glory.
Zechariah 13:8-9:  “And it shall come to pass, in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left.  And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried:  they shall call on my name, and I will hear them:  I will say, it is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.”
The preserved remnant of the nation Israel, those Jews who survive the tribulation, will be born in a day.  Isaiah 66:8:  “Who has heard such a thing?  who hath seen such things?  Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day?  Or shall a nation be born at once?  for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.”
Israel will experience great persecution, and the devastation of the trial will be global in its effect.  The devastation will move the nations of the earth to pledge willingly their allegiance to the sovereignty of Israel’s Sovereign.  For the hour of temptation shall also “come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth” (Revelation 3:10).
In the sign of Cancer God exalts Israel to her proper place of dignity and honor and authority as the head of the nations (Deuteronomy 28:1, 13; Jeremiah 30:8).  The strangers (the other nations) shall no more serve themselves or him (the son of perdition), but they shall “serve the LORD their God and David their king whom I will raise up for them” (Jeremiah 30:8).
The remnant, which comes out of the great tribulation, will be recognized by the nations of the earth as a kingdom of priests unto God who will minister the Word of “our” God.  In that day, “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain:  for the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea” (Isaiah 11:9, Habakkuk 2:14).  All that has been promised concerning the kingdom of Messiah is fulfilled; God’s will will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Isaiah 55:3).
The promised blessing to Abraham concerning the nation and the land as seen in the stars and recorded in Genesis 15 is fulfilled when God establishes His kingdom.  The invitation is given to every nation, language, kindred and people to come into the kingdom of the covenant Son and enter the earthly kingdom where Jesus is the Sovereign.
Both Sovereignty and personal faith are the issue.  To enter the kingdom everyone must make a decision to accept the peace terms offered in the Son – He is the Sovereign!  Some will place their faith in Him as their Lord and become sons of God in the kingdom of God, the kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17).  Before they served the man of lawlessness - here is a new authority, the true and final authority.
Isaiah 2:2-4 says, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.  And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths:  for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.  And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people:  and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks:  nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.”
Mountains are a reference to kingdoms in the scripture.  The kingdom of the covenant Son and His royal priesthood is established at the top of the mountains; no kingdom is higher.  The household of sons of God is exalted – glorious, lifted in praise to the anointed covenant Son; all nations flow to the city of the King, Jerusalem.
When God sets up His kingdom on earth at Christ’s second coming, the Old Testament saints have received their bodies of glory and their land as their inheritance.  Christ is the first fruits of the resurrection and afterward those at His coming – the Old Testament saints.  Everyone has been separated unto the Shepherd King and will be fed the bread of life.  This is a new creation; the former things have passed away (Isaiah 43:14-21).  All have been drawn unto God and each man will now be judged according to his own lawlessness.
The judgment of the creation tested in Adam is no longer.  The flesh body, dead because of sin (Romans 8:10), is no longer consigned to return to the dust of the ground.  Resurrection of life (the resurrection of a body) is no more.  The consigning of the body to dust and the resurrection are “former things.”  In the kingdom there will be no death, one can be put to death and die, but there is no consigning of the body to death (Isaiah 65:17-20).  This is a kingdom of peace and righteousness; there will be no enemies.  This is a new beginning.  “…Behold, I make all things new…” (Revelation 21:5).
Those who receive the hope of life everlasting upon entering the kingdom, as well as those born during the thousand years who made a decision for life everlasting, will remain in their mortal bodies until the end of the age (the thousand years) when they shall be changed.  At that time “… he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power” (1Corinthians 15:24).
Nevertheless until then, the stellar sign of Leo is the reminder of the enmity of that which will be antagonistic to the will of God concerning the covenant Son; seen in the luminary is the deceitfulness of the pride of the self-will of man symbolized by the serpent.  At the heart of the issue is the issue of the heart − the pride of self-will where the imagination of the thoughts and intents of the heart is only evil continually (Genesis 6:5).  Now each man will be tested according to his own lawlessness.  God desires that each man will bow the knee, “Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way…” (Psalm 2:12) (2Peter 3:9)
The figurative message of Cancer is that One holds and shelters those in His kingdom of righteousness and peace, making wise the simple.  A new beginning is in the sign of Cancer.  Who are the simple and how is it that they are made wise?
The simple are those who no longer fight or contend for self-will.  They are willing to be taught by the lowly and meek of heart, Jesus, the covenant Son.  They willingly take His yoke upon themselves, they have bowed to the Son - giving a kiss of peace; they have found rest for their souls.  “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 1:7).
In the star drawings of most star charts, Cancer is the figure of a crab; however, ancient astronomers designated Cancer as a manger.  A manger is a feeding trough for livestock.  This leads one to consider that the crab was not the original symbol.  The star names in this constellation affirm the manger to be the original figure of Cancer.  The star names within the three decans underscore the subject of flocks as coming from two separate assemblies of peoples, but in the end one herd of sheep, with one Shepherd King.
The names for the stellar sign Cancer are “The Manger,”The One Who Holds or Binds,” and “Holding, Encircling the Possession.”
The star names included in the stellar sign are Holding,” “Sheltering or Hiding Place,” “Assembled Thousands,” “The Kids or The Lambs,” “The Multitude or The Offspring.”  Manifested within the star names is the first flock – Israel and the promise of protection to the remnant of Israel during Jacob’s time of trouble (the seven years of tribulation).
“For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of Hosts …they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.  Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid” (Jeremiah 30:8-10).
Flocks of sheep require a sheepfold to secure them; thus, the first two decans in the star chart drawings are sheepfolds, Ursa Minor - Little Bear and Ursa Major - Greater Bear.  These decans are known in the United States as the little and big dipper.  The bear symbol of these decans is not on ancient Zodiac charts but goes back as far as the Greeks.  Some astronomers believe that the pictorial of the bear comes from a confusion of mistaken words.  The Old Persian word for “bear” is similar to the word “sheepfold.”
A sheepfold is an enclosure or shelter for sheep.  The first decan Ursa Minor is the little sheepfold known as “He Who Comes,”The Center or Center of the Constellations,” and “The Turned Upon” or “The Gate of the Enemy.”  The star names in the decan are “Waiting Him Who Comes,” “The Assembled,” “The Redeemed Assembly,” and ”The Center or High in Rising.”
The star names confirm the sheep of this sheepfold to be of the flock of Israel, “The Assembled” and “The Redeemed Assembly,” the remnant of His people Israel who will be in the land of Jerusalem,The Gate of the Enemy,” “ The Center or Center of the Constellations” and will survive the horrors of the tribulation.  They will await “He Who Comes.”  The name of the brightest star in the decan, “The Center or High in Rising” indicates the location of “The Redeemed Assembly,” “The Gate of the Enemy,” Jerusalem.
“…In the mount of the LORD it shall be provided.  …that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of His enemies.  And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou has obeyed my voice” (Genesis 22:14, 17-18).
In that day, Jesus will possess “The Gate of the Enemy,” Jerusalem, where the man of lawlessness had the seat of authority in the running of Mystery Babylon.  When Jesus takes possession, Jerusalem will take center stage having received her proper place of dignity, honor and authority as the head of the nations.
The sign name for the second decan Ursa Major – “The Greater Sheepfold” is “The Ordered or Assembled Together.”  The star names are “A Herd or a Flock,” “Purchased,” “Separated” (as a flock in a fold) and “Daughters of the Assembly,” “She Goat,” “The Redeemed,” and “The Later Flock.”  These star names represent the second assembly of peoples - the other sheep (John 10:16) which are not of the fold of the remnant Israel.  Jesus also brings them into the fold.  They shall hear His voice and there shall be one fold and one Shepherd.
This “Herd or Flock,” is “Purchased,” and “Separated.”  “…He shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.  … Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, depart from Me, ye cursed, into the everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:33-41).  Those remaining will be the “Separated”   “Herd or Flock,”  “Purchased.”
The star name “Daughters of the Assembly” reveals that offspring will be born.  During the thousand-year kingdom reign, men will procreate.  God desires to fill the earth with sons of God.  Each one born during the thousand-year reign has the potential to become His son.
The last decan in Cancer is “Argo” and means A Company of Travelers.”  In the star chart drawing the decan is a very large ship.  There are several star names identifying the Company of Travelers” as “The Possession of Him Who Comes,” “Returning From Afar,” “The Multitude,” “The Released Who Travel,” “The Desired” and “The Branch.”
This company of peoples identified by the star names is the Jews who are returning to not only their homeland but to “The Desired,” “The Branch,” who has set His kingdom in Jerusalem.
Ezekiel 34:11-15, 28:  “For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.  As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.  And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.  I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be:  there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.  I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.”  …And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.”
“The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth:  for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.”  (Zephaniah 3:13).
“Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head:  they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away” (Isaiah 51:11).
Thus the kingdom of God will be established.  The Lord God will have His people, His land, His Kingdom of God on earth.  “The Multitude,” sons of God as the stars of heaven” (Genesis 22:17) shall reign with their King in their land as was promised to their forefathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
“God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent:  hath he said, and shall he not do it?  or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19)
In that day, when the kingdom of God has come on earth and the thousand-year reign begins, there will be only One God – the living and true God.  The Covenant Son is The Sovereign; He is “The One Who Holds” and “Shelters” – making wise the simple, loving all.
